NYC to fete Giants with ticker-tape parade

NEW YORK -- New York City will be hosting a ticker-tape parade and City Hall ceremony for Super Bowl champions New York Giants.

The celebration is scheduled for Tuesday.

The city will be conducting a public giveaway for tickets to the City Hall Plaza ceremony on Monday between 9 a .m. and 11 a.m.

People can access an entry form at www.nyc.gov and by calling 311.

The parade will start at Battery Place and Washington Street at 11 a.m. and continue up the "Canyon of Heroes" to Worth Street. It will be followed by a ceremony at City Hall Plaza where Mayor Michael Bloomberg will present the Giants with the Keys to the City.

Bloomberg announced the parade for Big Blue moments after the Giants defeated the New England Patriots [team stats] 21-17 Sunday night.
